Permanent Residence

Express Entry

Express Entry is an immigration program that helps skilled, experienced immigrants settle down in Canada as permanent residents. This program is categorized into three economic programs.

Provincial Nomination Programs (PNPs)

Canada has a total of 13 provinces and territories, all of which have their own immigration programs (with the exception of Quebec), called PNPs. This program nominates the candidates who wish to apply for permanent residency. Each PNP has at least one immigration stream that is aligned with the federal Express Entry immigration selection system. This program is for workers who have the skills, education, and work experience to contribute to the economy of a specific province. To fill out the application under this program, applicants must follow all technical instructions adequately and submit a complete, reviewed application to receive an approval.

Parent/Grandparent

If you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, you might be eligible to sponsor your parents and grandparents to come to Canada and live with you permanently. Leaving your family behind is difficult, and one of the main objectives of the Canadian government is family reunification.

Spousal PR

The Canadian government is a strong advocate of keeping families together; one of the objectives of the Canadian government is to see families reunited in Canada. Applications under family sponsorship, such as sponsoring your spouse, are given a high level of priority. The applicant must be sponsored by their spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, either inside or outside Canada. Once the application is approved, authorities will issue the applicant’s visa and confirmation of permanent residence.

Refugee

Each year, millions of people from around the world are forced to flee their homeland to escape persecution, war, or severe human rights abuses. Canada helps those in need through the asylum and resettlement programs.

Nanny Caregiver

The Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot are 5-year pilot programs that allow qualified caregivers and their family members come to Canada with the goal of becoming permanent residents. If you’ve been offered a job in Canada as a caregiver or have experience working in Canada as a caregiver, you may be able to apply for permanent residence through one of these pilots. The application process will vary depending on your individual circumstances and how much qualifying work experience you have.

Entrepreneur/Investor

British Columbia, Ontario, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia each have their own programs.

Temporary Residence
Visitor Visa

A visitor visa (also called a temporary resident visa) is an official document in your passport showing that you meet the requirements needed to enter Canada as a Visitor whether it is for tourism, business, family visits or for compassionate reasons.

Super Visa

A super visa allows you to visit your children or grandchildren for up to 5 years at a time. With this visa, you are authorized for multiple entries for a period up to 10 years.

Study Permit

A study permit is a document that allows foreign nationals to study at designated learning institutions (DLIs) in Canada.

Legal residents of certain countries may be eligible to get their study permit faster by applying through the Student Direct Stream.

Work Permit

Most foreign nationals need a work permit to work in Canada.

Open Work Permit Spousal

Spouses or common-law partners of skilled people coming to Canada as foreign workers may themselves be authorized to work without first having an offer of employment.

Working Holiday Visa (IEC)

International Experience Canada (IEC) provides youth with the opportunity to travel and work in Canada.

Immigration Appeals
Refused Spouse PR Case

We at Mann Immigration passionately represent our clients’ cases in front of the Immigration Appeal Division. Having the experience and legal expertise plays an important role in winning an appeal case.

Residency Obligation Appeal

Generally, the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) requires permanent residents to be physically present in Canada for at least 730 days out of every five years. If you are a permanent resident who is outside Canada and a visa officer (also outside Canada) finds that you did not meet your residency obligation, you may lose your permanent resident status. You can appeal the decision to the Immigration Appeal Division (IAD) in order to explain why you should keep your permanent resident status. This is known as a residency obligation appeal (subsection 63(4) of the IRPA).

Refused Parents/Grandparents PR

If your parents or grandparent’s PR case under family sponsorship was refused, contact us today to successfully win the appeal case!

Refugee Appeals

While each division of the IRB is responsible for making decisions on different immigration or refugee matters, they all follow an administrative tribunal process similar to what happens in a court, though less formal. The process is flexible and can take many forms, so long as it ensures that the IRB makes well-reasoned, efficient, and fair decisions. The IRB tribunal process is based on Canadian law, Canada’s international obligations, and Canada’s humanitarian traditions.

LMIA
Employers

If you are an employer in Canada and are having difficulty filling vacant employment positions, we can help you hire temporary foreign workers.

PR Support LMIA

We will be able to represent you as a third-party representative, starting with recruitment efforts for Canadians and ending with a positive LMIA.

LMIA Based Work Permit

A work permit is a written authorization that is issued by an officer that allows a person who is not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident to work in Canada. It is needed if you want to work in Canada, even if your employer is not in Canada. It is usually valid only for a specific employer, job, and length of time. Issued based on a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) from Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) or an offer of employment from an LMIA-exempt employer.
